Description

The Radiara-2 is a 183mm recessed LED downlight with an integrated 30W 3000K LED and an IP44 rating for protection against splash water. The white metal trim sits flush to the ceiling, with an 80mm aperture directing light downward in a fixed beam. Designed for commercial and outdoor applications, the fitting mounts into ceiling voids of 100mm depth or greater.

The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, outdoor soffits, covered porches and external eaves where the fitting is sheltered from direct rain. The 30W output at 3000K provides bright warm-white downlight suitable for task areas, entrance halls, and commercial circulation spaces where higher lumen output is needed than typical 6-12W residential downlights deliver.

The white powder-coated metal trim provides a clean neutral finish that blends into white or off-white ceilings. The fixed orientation means the beam cannot be adjusted after installation, so positioning during the ceiling cut and fitting stage determines the final light spread. The integrated LED is rated for continuous use in enclosed ceiling spaces and carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, which means outside the immediate shower enclosure and at least 600mm from a bath or basin tap. It is not rated for use directly above a shower where zone 1 IP65 fittings are required.

Is the Radiara-2 dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. If dimming is required, consider alternative downlight models with dimmable drivers.

What ceiling void depth is needed?

A minimum 100mm ceiling void depth is recommended to accommodate the LED driver and heat dissipation requirements of the 30W fitting. The exact installation depth depends on the specific driver housing dimensions, which are provided in the manufacturer's installation manual.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes, but only in sheltered locations. The IP44 rating protects against splash water from any direction, making it suitable for covered soffits, porches and eaves. It is not rated for exposed outdoor locations where direct rain or heavy weather would reach the fitting.
