Description
The Radiara-1 is a 10W LED recessed downlight with a 103mm diameter white bezel and a 58mm cut-out requirement. The integrated LED produces 4000K neutral white light through COB (Chip on Board) technology, giving a consistent beam without visible individual diodes. The die-cast aluminium housing sits within the ceiling void, with only the matt white ring visible from below.
Designed for ceiling heights of 2.4-3.0m in kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and commercial spaces, the Radiara-1 provides task and ambient lighting where a clean, flush-mounted fitting is needed. The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm white (2700-3000K) and cool white (5000K+), offering clear visibility for food prep, grooming and desk work without the clinical tone of daylight-white LEDs. The IP44 front protection allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3 and above kitchen worktops where steam and moisture are present.
The 58mm cut-out fits standard UK plasterboard ceiling construction with adequate void depth for the driver and housing. The white powder-coated bezel is 103mm in diameter, covering the ceiling aperture and providing a defined edge to the light source. The non-dimmable driver operates on 230V mains and the integrated LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours, equivalent to 15+ years at typical residential usage of 4 hours per day.

Frequently Asked
Is the Radiara-1 dimmable?
No. The integrated LED driver is non-dimmable and should not be connected to a dimmer circuit. Attempting to dim the fitting will cause flickering or damage to the driver.
What ceiling void depth is required?
A minimum void depth of 70-80mm is typically needed to accommodate the LED housing and driver. Check the installation diagram provided with the fitting for exact clearance requirements.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
Yes. The IP44 front protection allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the shower enclosure and more than 600mm from the bath edge). It is not rated for zone 0 or 1 (inside or directly above the shower or bath).
What colour temperature is 4000K?
4000K is neutral white, sitting between warm white (2700-3000K) and cool white (5000K+). It provides clear, focused light without the yellow tone of warm white or the blue cast of daylight white, making it suitable for task lighting in kitchens, offices and commercial spaces.
