Description

The Radiantix is a 22cm outdoor bollard light with a brown powder-coated aluminium body and an opal plastic diffuser that wraps around the middle section. The hourglass profile tapers inward at the centre where the diffuser sits, allowing light to spread horizontally across pathways and garden borders while the solid top and base caps prevent upward and downward glare. A single E27 bulb (sold separately) fits inside the 140mm-diameter body.

Designed for garden pathways, wooden decking edges, and border lighting alongside driveways or patio perimeters, the Radiantix provides low-level ambient light without creating light pollution above head height. The 22cm height keeps the light source below knee level, marking path edges and steps without intruding into sightlines across a garden. The IP44 rating protects against rain and dust ingress, making the fitting suitable for year-round outdoor installation in exposed UK weather.

The brown powder-coated finish is applied over turned aluminium, giving the bollard a warm earth tone that blends into natural planting schemes and timber-heavy garden settings. The opal diffuser softens the E27 bulb output into a wash of diffused light rather than a point source, reducing harsh shadows on gravel or paving. What bulb does it take?

The Radiantix takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. For outdoor pathway lighting, most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-9W and 2700K-3000K to create ambient path lighting without excessive brightness.

Is it suitable for exposed outdoor use?

Yes. The IP44 rating protects against rain and dust ingress, making the bollard suitable for year-round outdoor installation in gardens, on decking, and along driveways. It should be installed on a stable surface and wired by a qualified electrician following outdoor wiring regulations.
