Description
The Radiantix is an 80cm outdoor bollard light built around a turned aluminium column with a powder-coated black finish, topped with a circular opal plastic diffuser. The bollard houses a single E27 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately) behind the diffuser, casting ambient light downward and outward across paths, driveways and patios. The IP65 rating protects the internal fitting from dust ingress and water jets from any direction.
Designed for installation along driveways, garden paths, patio perimeters and entranceways, the 80cm height positions the light source above typical ground-level obstructions (low planting, paving edges, gravel borders) while keeping the beam pattern low enough to avoid glare at eye level. The bollard fixes to a concrete base or paving via two mounting holes in the circular base plate. The opal diffuser softens the light output, reducing hard shadows and making the bollard suitable for paths where even illumination matters more than directional accent lighting.
The turned aluminium body gives the bollard a uniform cylindrical profile with no visible seams or welds. The powder-coated black finish is applied over a corrosion-resistant aluminium substrate, giving durability in coastal, urban and rural environments where bollards are exposed to rain, frost, salt spray and UV. The 180mm diameter keeps the bollard visible during daylight without dominating smaller garden layouts, while the mass of the aluminium column and base plate resists movement from wind or accidental contact.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Radiantix take?
The bollard takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users fit a warm-white LED bulb between 6-12W and 2700K-3000K for path lighting. The opal diffuser softens the output regardless of bulb type.
What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?
IP65 means the fitting is fully dust-sealed and protected against water jets from any direction. It will perform reliably in rain, snow, and garden irrigation overspray, making it suitable for year-round outdoor installation.
How is the bollard installed?
The circular base plate has two mounting holes for fixing to a concrete pad or paving slabs. The electrical cable enters through a gland in the base, requiring hard-wired mains connection by a qualified electrician.
Is the bollard dimmable?
Yes, if paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible outdoor dimming circuit. The bollard itself does not contain dimming electronics, so dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb and circuit you choose.
