Description

The Radiantix is an 80cm outdoor bollard light built around a cylindrical turned aluminium body with a powder-coated anthracite finish, topped with an opal plastic diffuser that sits flush with the metal cap. A single E27 bulb fitting inside the column casts light through the diffuser, providing 360-degree illumination around the base of the bollard.

Designed for driveways, garden pathways, terrace perimeters and areas around garden features where taller lighting is needed without full post height, the 80cm height positions light above low planting and ground-level obstacles while remaining below typical fence or hedge lines. The IP65 rating protects the internals against rain, snow and driven dust, making the bollard suitable for year-round installation in exposed positions. The base plate fixes directly to hard standing or into concrete footings.

The anthracite finish is a dark charcoal grey with a low-sheen matte surface that absorbs daylight reflections and blends into darker landscaping materials such as slate, granite chippings and black render. The 180mm diameter column provides visual presence without dominating a pathway, and the opal diffuser softens the light source to reduce glare when viewed from seating or window positions. The E27 fitting accepts any standard screw-base LED bulb up to the wattage limit specified in the table below, giving control over light temperature and output depending on the application.

The bollard takes a standard E27 screw-base bulb. For outdoor use, a warm-white LED between 2700K-3000K and 8-12W is typical. Bulbs are sold separately. Check the Specification table for the maximum wattage allowed.

Is it suitable for exposed coastal areas?

The IP65 rating protects against rain and driven dust, and the powder-coated aluminium resists corrosion better than untreated steel. However, in directly coastal locations with salt spray, periodic rinsing with fresh water will extend the finish life.

How is it installed?

The base plate fixes to hard standing with anchor bolts, or can be set into a concrete footing for lawn or gravel installation. Mains cable runs underground to the bollard position and connects inside the base. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Can it be used with a dimmer?

Yes, the bollard is rated as dimmable. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific E27 bulb fitted — choose a dimmable LED and pair it with a compatible outdoor-rated dimmer switch.
