Description
The Radiantix is an 80cm outdoor bollard light built from turned aluminium with a brown powder-coated finish and an opal plastic diffuser at the top. The bollard houses a single E27 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately) and carries an IP65 rating, protecting the internal lamp holder and wiring against dust ingress and water jets from any direction.
Designed for driveways, garden paths, patios and landscape borders, the 80cm height places the light source well above ground level, casting illumination 3-5 metres along a pathway or across a paved area depending on bulb wattage and beam angle. The opal diffuser spreads light evenly in all directions rather than directing it, making the Radiantix better suited to ambient pathway lighting than focused task lighting. The bollard fixes to a concrete base or paved surface via two mounting holes in the base plate.
The brown powder coat is baked onto the aluminium body, providing resistance to UV fading, rain and coastal salt exposure over extended outdoor installation. The earthy tone pairs well with natural stone paving, terracotta, timber decking and planted borders. The 180mm diameter footprint gives the bollard visual presence without dominating narrower pathways. At IP65, the fitting can be installed in fully exposed positions including near swimming pools, water features and unshaded driveways.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Radiantix take?
The bollard takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose a warm-white LED bulb between 9-15W and 2700K-3000K for outdoor path lighting, though the fitting accepts any E27 bulb within the manufacturer's wattage limit.
Is it suitable for coastal locations?
Yes. The IP65 rating protects against water jets and dust, and the powder-coated aluminium body resists corrosion from salt exposure. The bollard is designed for year-round outdoor installation in exposed positions including coastal gardens and properties near the sea.
How is the bollard installed?
The base plate has two mounting holes for fixing to a concrete pad, paved surface or embedded ground socket. The electrical cable enters through a gland in the base and must be connected to mains supply by a qualified electrician. The fitting cannot be installed directly into soil without a concrete base.
Can it be used with a dimmer?
The specification lists the fitting as dimmable, but dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen. Pair the bollard with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible outdoor-rated dimmer to achieve dimming functionality.
