Description

The QTX QX12PA is a self-contained PA system built for easy portability. It has pull and carry handles plus wheels, so you can move it between rooms or venues without help. Power comes from the mains or the internal rechargeable battery, which runs for up to 8 hours, so you can use it away from a socket. A 35mm socket lets you mount it on a stand or pole (a tripod stand in UK terms) when you need more height.

You get two VHF wireless microphones (radio mics) in the box, working on 174.1MHz and 175.0MHz, with an echo effect available to add depth to vocals. There are two further mic inputs on 6.3mm jack, one of which doubles as a guitar input. A 3.5mm stereo aux input suits phones, tablets, laptops and mp3 players, while the L+R RCA in and out adds DJ connectivity and options for expansion or recording. The active inbuilt amplifier gives 50 + 50W RMS through a 25mm (1") titanium compression driver, with 90° x 60° dispersion.

The internal media player handles SD and USB media, an FM radio tuner and paired Bluetooth 4.2 devices, all controllable with the supplied IR remote control. A switchable VCV 'voiceover' function lowers the background music automatically when a mic signal comes in, which is handy for announcements. Front controls cover volume, bass, treble, echo, mic volume, VHF volume, contour, VCV and Bluetooth. Optional neck-worn transmitters are available on 174.1MHz and 175.0MHz for hands-free use.

The internal rechargeable battery runs for up to 8 hours. You can also power the unit from the mains (220-240Vac) or an external 12Vdc supply.
