Description

The QTX QX12PA-plus is a complete portable PA system built into a QX-series cabinet, ready to run from either mains power or its internal rechargeable battery. Inside you get a built-in amplifier rated at 50 + 50Wrms, driving a main speaker and a 25mm titanium compression driven horn unit for the higher frequencies. That gives you clear speech and music across a 90° x 60° dispersion, and the battery holds up for up to 8 hours between charges.

Two UHF handheld wireless microphones come in the box, with the receiver built into the rear panel. Alongside these you'll find two further wired mic inputs (one shared with a guitar input), a stereo line input on RCA, and a 3.5mm aux input. Bluetooth 4.2 lets you stream from a phone or tablet, and there's an integral USB/SD/FM media player for playback without any extra kit. Front-panel controls cover volume, bass, treble, echo, mic and UHF levels, contour and VCV, so you can shape the sound to the room.

Portability is handled well. A moulded carry handle and a 35mm pole mount are built into the cabinet, and a retractable trolley handle with rear wheels means you can roll it between venues rather than lift it. A slip cover is included to keep it protected in transit. It suits presentations, small events, fitness classes, market stalls and mobile announcements where you need decent volume from a single self-contained box. Note that mains use is via a standard IEC lead at 220-240Vac, with the option of external 12Vdc power too.

How long does the battery last?

The internal rechargeable battery gives up to 8 hours of use on a full charge, depending on volume and how much wireless mic use you draw from it.

How many microphones are included?

Two UHF handheld wireless microphones are supplied, with the receiver built into the rear panel. There are also two wired mic inputs if you want to add more.

Can I stream music from my phone?

Yes. It has Bluetooth 4.2 for wireless streaming, plus a built-in USB/SD/FM media player and aux and line inputs for wired sources.

Can I mount it on a speaker stand?

Yes. There's a 35mm pole mount built into the cabinet, so it fits standard speaker stands or poles.

How is it powered?
