Description
The QTX PAV10 is a two-speaker portable PA set built around a main active unit and a passive satellite cabinet. The main unit carries a media player with playback from USB stick, SD card, Bluetooth or a slot-fed disc player that handles both CD and DVD. Video output means you can run karaoke sessions using CD+G and compressed files, with the picture sent to a screen through the composite video output. An IR remote gives you control over playback without having to reach the unit itself.
Two UHF handheld microphones are included, running on frequencies of 863.8MHz and 864.8MHz, each powered by 2 x AA batteries. Alongside these you get two inputs for wired microphones (mics) via jack, plus a built-in echo effect for vocalists. A VCV control lets the microphones take priority over the music, so announcements and speech cut through cleanly. Controls on the main unit cover mic volume, echo, treble, bass, master volume, separate UHF A and B levels, contour and Bluetooth.
You can run the PAV10 from mains power or its internal rechargeable battery, which gives up to 8 hours of use, and the main unit also powers the satellite cabinet. Each speaker sits at 4 Ohms and has a 35mm top hat fitting for pole mounting. Line input and output plus the composite video output make it straightforward to link with other equipment for larger AV setups. A stacking trolley with a telescopic handle helps you move the set between rooms and venues, making it a practical choice for leisure, teaching and live performances.
