Description

The Provence is a 297mm conical pendant or wall light with three adjustable knuckle joints on the stem, allowing the shade to be angled and positioned as needed. Finished in old bronze, the metal shade and stem assembly can be ceiling-mounted as a pendant with a 535-1235mm adjustable drop, or wall-mounted with the shade angled outward. The fitting takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands, breakfast bars and bedside wall positions, the adjustable joints allow the shade to be directed towards a worktop, angled to reduce glare when reading, or tilted upward to bounce light off a ceiling. As a pendant, the 535mm minimum drop suits ceiling heights from 2.4m upward; as a wall light, the knuckle joints allow the shade to sit close to the wall or extend outward depending on the installation position.

The old bronze finish is a multi-tonal brown-black patina that softens reflections and pairs with both industrial and traditional interiors. The conical shade focuses light downward in pendant mode, or can be angled for directed task lighting when wall-mounted. The metal construction and knuckle joint mechanism give the fitting a solid 1.2kg weight, and the joints hold their position once adjusted without requiring tools or fixings.

Can this be installed as both a wall light and a pendant?

Yes. The Provence ships with ceiling canopy and wall bracket fittings, allowing it to be installed either as a pendant or wall light depending on your needs. The adjustable knuckle joints work in both configurations.

What bulb does it take?

The fitting takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient or task lighting.

Do the joints stay in position once adjusted?

Yes. The three knuckle joints on the stem hold their position under the weight of the shade without requiring tools or additional fixings. Adjust by hand to the desired angle and the joint will stay there.

What ceiling height is needed for pendant installation?

The 535mm minimum drop works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above when hung over a table or worktop. The maximum 1235mm drop suits higher ceilings or positions where the light needs to hang lower, such as over a dining table in a room with 3m ceilings.
