Description

The Prismia is a grey fabric wall lampshade with a 195mm height and 120mm projection, built from a PVC frame covered in soft grey fabric. The fabric diffuses light outward through the shade surface and downward through the open bottom, creating ambient wash light on the wall behind and softer general light into the room.

Designed as a replacement shade for existing wall fittings or to pair with compatible wall bracket arms, the Prismia suits bedrooms, hallways and living rooms where direct bulb glare needs to be softened. The grey tone works with both warm and cool colour schemes, from whites and creams through to charcoals and deeper greys. The 120mm projection keeps the shade close to the wall, making it suitable for narrower hallways or bedside positions where a deeper shade would intrude into the room.

The fabric cover is stretched over a rigid PVC frame that holds the curved shape and provides mounting points for the fitting hardware. The neutral grey finish avoids the warm cast of beige or cream shades and the starkness of pure white, sitting comfortably in mid-toned contemporary and transitional interiors. At 195mm tall, the shade suits wall fittings with arms positioned 1.6-1.8m above floor level, where the light spreads evenly without creating hard shadows on the ceiling.

What fittings is this shade compatible with?

The Prismia is designed to fit standard wall light bracket arms with a compatible mounting ring or clip system. Check the mounting hardware on your existing wall fitting before ordering, or contact us if you need advice on compatibility.

What bulb does it take?

The shade itself does not contain a bulb holder — it fits onto an existing wall fitting that has its own lamp socket. Most wall fittings of this type use E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs. Check your existing fitting to confirm the bulb type and maximum wattage.

How is the fabric cleaned?

Dust the shade regularly with a soft brush or microfibre cloth. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth with water only — avoid soaking the fabric. Do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners on the fabric surface.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The shade carries no IP rating and is not designed for damp or wet environments. It is suitable for dry indoor locations only.
