Description

The Prios is a 625mm LED semi-flush ceiling light built around a geometric matt black metal frame that forms overlapping rectangular sections. An integrated 31W 3000K LED sits behind opal plastic diffusers set within the frame segments, distributing warm white light across the room without exposed bulbs or harsh glare. The fitting projects just 35mm from the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and home offices where both ambient and functional lighting are needed, the Prios works as primary room lighting in spaces up to 15-18m². The geometric frame adds visual interest to plain ceilings while the matt black finish grounds the design against white or light-painted ceilings. The 625 x 410mm footprint suits rectangular rooms better than square spaces, and the linear arrangement of the diffuser panels means the light spreads more evenly along the length of the fitting than across its width.

The matt black finish is a painted metal rather than powder coat, giving a low-sheen surface that sits between gloss black and true matt. The opal diffusers hide the LED panel behind them and prevent direct view of the light source from any angle in the room. The fitting carries an IP20 rating, restricting it to dry indoor locations only — it cannot be used in bathrooms, outdoor areas or anywhere exposed to moisture. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and non-replaceable, with a rated lifespan typical of modern LED panels.

Can the Prios be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is only suitable for dry indoor locations. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any area exposed to moisture or steam.

Is the integrated LED dimmable?

No. The 31W LED is non-dimmable and not compatible with dimmer switches. Installing it on a dimmed circuit may cause flickering or damage to the driver.

What happens when the LED fails?

The LED is integrated into the fitting and non-replaceable. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty, so failures within that period are covered. After the warranty period, the entire fitting would need replacing if the LED fails.

What size room does it suit?

The 31W output at 3000K provides enough light for living rooms, bedrooms or home offices up to approximately 15-18m². The rectangular footprint suits oblong rooms better than square spaces.
