The Prios is a 625mm LED semi-flush ceiling light built around a geometric matt black metal frame that forms overlapping rectangular sections. An integrated 31W 3000K LED sits behind opal plastic diffusers set within the frame segments, distributing warm white light across the room without exposed bulbs or harsh glare. The fitting projects just 35mm from the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and home offices where both ambient and functional lighting are needed, the Prios works as primary room lighting in spaces up to 15-18m². The geometric frame adds visual interest to plain ceilings while the matt black finish grounds the design against white or light-painted ceilings. The 625 x 410mm footprint suits rectangular rooms better than square spaces, and the linear arrangement of the diffuser panels means the light spreads more evenly along the length of the fitting than across its width.

The matt black finish is a painted metal rather than powder coat, giving a low-sheen surface that sits between gloss black and true matt. The opal diffusers hide the LED panel behind them and prevent direct view of the light source from any angle in the room. The fitting carries an IP20 rating, restricting it to dry indoor locations only — it cannot be used in bathrooms, outdoor areas or anywhere exposed to moisture. What happens when the LED fails?

The LED is integrated into the fitting and non-replaceable. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty, so failures within that period are covered. After the warranty period, the entire fitting would need replacing if the LED fails.
