Description

The Polar is a single-phase track spotlight with an 82mm diameter aluminium body finished in white, housing a GX53 15W LED lamp (included). The spotlight head rotates and tilts on a ball-joint mount, allowing light to be directed at wall art, retail displays, architectural details or specific work zones. The rectangular track adapter clips into standard single-phase track systems and locks into position with a quarter-turn mechanism.

Designed for retail interiors, galleries, home offices and kitchen task lighting, the Polar provides accent illumination rather than general room lighting. The GX53 lamp format produces a wide flood beam suitable for lighting objects 1-3m away, with the white finish keeping the fitting visually recessive against white ceilings or creating defined contrast on darker surfaces. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments — bathrooms, wet rooms and outdoor installations require a higher IP-rated fitting.

The aluminium body provides structural rigidity and heat dissipation for the 15W LED, while plastic components in the track adapter and lens housing reduce weight to 280g per spotlight. This keeps the fitting stable on standard track without sagging over time. The 148mm total height from track base to spotlight top means the fitting projects approximately 15cm below the ceiling once installed, which suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above to avoid head clearance issues in circulation zones.

What track system does this fit?

The Polar uses a single-phase track adapter that fits standard single-phase track systems. The adapter locks into the track with a quarter-turn mechanism. Confirm your existing track is single-phase before ordering — this fitting will not work with three-phase or two-circuit track.

Does it come with the LED lamp?

Yes. The Polar includes a GX53 15W LED lamp rated at AC 220-240V. The lamp is replaceable should it fail after the warranty period.

Can the spotlight head be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The head rotates 360° horizontally and tilts approximately 90° vertically on a ball-joint mount, allowing the beam to be redirected without removing the fitting from the track.

Is it suitable for bathroom use?

No. The IP20 rating means this fitting is only suitable for dry indoor environments. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher within zones near water sources. Use a purpose-rated bathroom spotlight for wet room installations.
