Description

The Points S is a 2W LED magnetic track downlight measuring 36mm long by 21mm wide, designed to clip onto DC 48V magnetic track systems without tools or hardwiring. The integrated 3000K LED sits behind a HoneyComb anti-glare filter, which breaks up the point-source glare of a bare LED into a softer, more diffused beam while maintaining the focus needed for accent lighting.

Built for retail displays, gallery walls, kitchen counters and bedroom feature lighting where objects or surfaces need directed illumination without a prominent fixture, the Points S uses a recessed LED and optical system that keeps the light source itself hidden from most viewing angles. This "Light from Nowhere" effect means the lit object appears highlighted without an obvious spotlight drawing attention. The magnetic attachment allows the downlight to be repositioned along the track by hand, making it suitable for spaces where display layouts or focal points change regularly.

The aluminium body is finished in matte white and weighs approximately 50g, making it light enough to hold securely on magnetic track without sagging. The 45mm height includes the magnetic mount, so the fitting projects less than 5cm from the track rail. At 2W the Points S provides accent rather than task or ambient light — it's designed to highlight, not flood. The IP20 rating means the downlight is for indoor dry locations only.

The Points S is designed for Maytoni's DC 48V magnetic track systems (Exility range). It attaches magnetically without tools and can be repositioned by hand along the track rail.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 2W 3000K LED is integrated into the downlight and not user-replaceable. The fitting carries a 5-year warranty covering LED failure.

What does the HoneyComb filter do?

The HoneyComb filter sits over the LED to reduce glare by breaking up the point-source brightness into a softer, more diffused beam. This makes the downlight more comfortable to view from angles where you might otherwise see the bare LED.

Can it be used in bathrooms?
