A single E27 bulb sits inside the textured glass, which diffracts the light through the diamond-cut surface pattern to create decorative shadows and ambient spread rather than harsh direct illumination.

Designed for exterior mounting on porches, covered entrances, garage approaches and patio walls, the lantern carries an IP44 rating against rain and dust ingress. The 173mm projection from wall to glass face means the fitting sits clear of doorframes and siding without extending too far into walkways. What bulb does it take?

The lantern takes a standard E27 bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 4-6W and 2200K-2700K to complement the burnished bronze finish and the pineapple glass pattern.

Can it be used in fully exposed positions?

The IP44 rating protects against rain and dust, making it suitable for covered porches, under eaves, and recessed entrance areas. For fully exposed coastal walls or positions without overhead shelter, a higher IP rating (IP54 or IP65) would offer better long-term protection against driving rain and salt spray.

Is the glass replaceable if damaged?

The pineapple optic glass shade is a separate component held in place by the top and bottom cast metalwork. Contact Hinkley or Niori for replacement glass availability if the shade is cracked or broken.
