Description

The Pinner is a 680mm table lamp built around a ceramic vase base shaped like a spinning top, finished in a subtle pink wash over matt cream. The base tapers from a wide 310mm diameter footprint to a narrow neck before flaring slightly at the lamp holder, topped with a polished nickel finial. A cream faux silk cylinder shade, 420mm in diameter, sits above the ceramic base and diffuses light from a single E27 bulb (sold separately).

Designed for bedside tables, console tables and living room side tables, the Pinner provides ambient task lighting for evening reading or as accent lighting within a living space. The 680mm total height positions the shade at a practical level for a bedside lamp in most UK bedroom layouts, while the 310mm base diameter provides stability on narrow console tables without dominating the surface. The lamp accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 60W, allowing control over light temperature and brightness.

The ceramic base is wheel-thrown and finished with horizontal banding visible through the pink wash, giving each lamp slight tonal variation in how the glaze settles into the ridges. The faux silk shade softens the light output and reduces glare compared to bare-bulb table lamps, while the polished nickel finial and lamp holder provide a reflective accent against the matte ceramic. The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside or living room use.

Is the ceramic base heavy enough to be stable?

Yes. The wheel-thrown ceramic base with its 310mm diameter footprint provides sufficient weight and stability for typical bedside and console table use. The spinning-top shape lowers the centre of gravity, improving stability compared to columnar table lamps of similar height.

Can the shade be replaced?

The shade is a standard cylinder drum design. Replacement shades with compatible fittings are available separately if the faux silk becomes damaged or you wish to change the colour. Contact us for compatible shade dimensions.
