Description

The Phosix Trim is a 5-aperture LED recessed downlight built from white die-cast aluminium with glossy black polycarbonate reflectors set into each aperture. The fitting measures 146mm long by 45mm deep and houses an integrated 12W LED running at 3000K warm white colour temperature. The rectangular format allows multiple apertures to be recessed into a ceiling cut-out with a single trim plate covering the edges.

Designed for commercial installations, retail spaces, offices and residential applications where multiple downlight points are needed in a linear arrangement, the Phosix Trim reduces the number of individual ceiling cut-outs compared to installing five separate downlights. The white powder-coated aluminium body sits flush with the ceiling once installed, with only the black reflector apertures visible from below. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations away from bathrooms and outdoor exposure.

Each of the five apertures directs light downward through the black polycarbonate reflector, which shapes the beam and reduces glare when viewed from an angle. The die-cast aluminium construction provides heat dissipation for the integrated LED, and the 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux covers the LED module and driver. The fitting requires a suitable ceiling void depth of at least 50mm above the plasterboard or suspended ceiling to accommodate the body and allow for ventilation around the heat sink.
