Description

The Pembroke is a 340mm single pendant light with a hand-forged iron frame finished in black with gold accents, suspending a frosted white glass shade with a subtle crosshatch pattern. A twisted barley-spiral section sits between the ceiling canopy and the shade mount, adding decorative detail to the suspension rod. The pendant takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately) and hangs on a 640mm chain adjustable between 460mm and 765mm total drop on installation.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and hallways with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m, the Pembroke includes a flush-convert system that allows it to be fitted as a semi-flush ceiling light rather than a chain pendant. This makes it suitable for rooms with lower ceilings where a full drop would bring the shade too close to head height. The frosted glass diffuses light evenly across dining and preparation surfaces without visible bulb glare.

The hand-forged iron frame carries a two-tone finish — the main structural elements in matt black with the twisted detail and canopy rim picked out in aged gold. This combination works in traditional dining rooms with warm wood furniture and in transitional kitchens pairing period detail with contemporary cabinetry. What is the flush-convert system?

The Pembroke can be installed as either a chain pendant (460-765mm drop) or as a semi-flush ceiling light where the shade sits much closer to the ceiling. This is done during installation by reconfiguring the chain and suspension components, making it suitable for rooms with lower ceilings or where a shorter drop is preferred.

What bulb does it take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K for dining and ambient lighting.

What ceiling height is needed for pendant installation?

For pendant installation with the full drop, ceiling heights of 2.4m or above work best, allowing the shade to hang 700-900mm above a dining table or worktop. For lower ceilings, use the flush-convert option to fit it as a semi-flush mount.

How is the frosted glass cleaned?

The glass shade can be wiped with a soft damp cloth and dried immediately. For more stubborn marks, a small amount of glass cleaner on a microfibre cloth works without leaving streaks. The shade is removable for thorough cleaning if needed.
