The Orlo is a 105mm fixed recessed downlight with a matt black aluminium bezel and an acrylic diffuser behind the aperture, housing a single GX53 bulb rated up to 15W. The fitting sits flush to the ceiling surface once installed, with only the 4cm-deep bezel visible from below, making it suitable for ceilings with limited void depth.

Designed for residential hallways, kitchens, home offices and commercial retail or hospitality spaces, the Orlo provides focused downward light without movable adjustment. The GX53 base is a low-profile twist-and-lock fitting common in shallow recessed lighting, allowing the entire luminaire to project less than 5cm from the ceiling plane. The black bezel pairs well with monochrome, industrial and contemporary interiors where fittings are intended to recede into the ceiling rather than act as decorative features.

The aluminium construction carries an IP20 rating, limiting use to dry indoor environments only — this fitting is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor canopies. The acrylic diffuser softens the GX53 bulb source and reduces glare when viewed from typical standing or seated positions in a room with 2.4-2.7m ceilings. What bulb does the Orlo take?

The fitting takes a GX53 twist-and-lock bulb up to 15W. GX53 is a low-profile base designed for shallow recessed fittings. Bulbs are sold separately — LED GX53 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) are the most common pairing.

What ceiling void depth is needed?

The fitting projects approximately 4cm from the ceiling surface. A void depth of at least 5-6cm above the ceiling is recommended to accommodate the fitting body, wiring and clearance for heat dissipation.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating limits the Orlo to dry indoor environments only. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher for zones 1 and 2, and IP65 for zone 0 (shower cubicles).

Is the beam fixed or adjustable?

The Orlo is a fixed downlight — the beam direction cannot be adjusted after installation. The light projects directly downward from the fitting.
