Description

The Orlix is an articulated desk lamp built on a circular brass base with a double-hinged arm system that extends up to 510mm from the base. The lamp head is a domed brass shade with a white painted interior, fitted with a single E14 socket (bulb sold separately). Both arm joints feature tightening knobs that lock the lamp in position once the desired angle is set.

Designed for desks, workbenches and bedside tables where directed light is needed, the Orlix allows the lamp head to be positioned independently of the base. The double-arm configuration gives vertical and horizontal reach, while the tightening knobs hold the arm steady under the weight of the lamp head without creeping during use. The IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry indoor environments only.

The brass finish is a brushed satin tone that sits between polished brass and antique brass, reducing glare while retaining the warm metallic appearance. The 210mm base diameter gives stability without occupying excessive desk space, and the 1000mm black PVC cable includes an inline rocker switch for easy on/off control. The white interior of the lamp head reflects light downwards onto the work surface rather than back towards the user.

Ideal Lux produces the Orlix in Italy and backs it with a 5-year warranty. The lamp accepts any standard E14 bulb up to the rated wattage shown in the Specification table, allowing users to choose LED, halogen or filament depending on light temperature and brightness preference.

Yes. Both arm joints have tightening knobs that lock the arm at the chosen angle. Once tightened, the lamp holds position without drooping or creeping under the weight of the lamp head.
