Description
The Orlis is a 330mm square wall light with an integrated 18W LED module delivering 3000K warm white light through a satin opal polycarbonate diffuser. The painted metal base mounts flush to the wall, and the square polycarbonate panel sits proud of the surface to distribute light evenly across surrounding walls and ceilings without harsh downward throw or glare.
Designed for hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms (IP20 zones only), and living spaces where general ambient light is needed without a central ceiling fitting, the Orlis works in both modern and minimalist interiors where a geometric profile is wanted. The 330mm footprint suits walls with limited space around door frames, picture rails or furniture, and the shallow 330mm projection from the wall avoids head-height intrusion in narrow corridors.
The satin opal diffuser softens the LED point source into an even wash without visible hotspots or LED dot patterns when viewed directly. The painted metal base provides structural support and heat dissipation for the integrated LED, while the polycarbonate panel resists impact and discolouration better than acrylic alternatives. The white finish pairs neutrally with white, cream and light-toned walls, allowing the fitting to blend into the surface rather than contrast against it.
Ideal Lux supplies the Orlis with a 5-year manufacturer warranty covering the LED module and driver assembly. The non-dimmable driver operates on standard 230V mains without requiring external control gear, and the IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor areas away from direct water contact.

Frequently Asked
Is the Orlis dimmable?
No. The integrated LED driver is non-dimmable and operates on standard 230V mains without compatibility for dimmer switches. Attempting to fit the Orlis to a dimmed circuit may cause flicker or driver failure.
Can this be used in a bathroom?
The IP20 rating limits the Orlis to dry indoor areas only. It cannot be installed within bathroom zones 1 or 2 (areas directly above or around baths and showers). It is acceptable in zone 3 (more than 600mm from a water source) or outside regulated zones where no direct water contact occurs.
What is the light output in lumens?
The 18W LED module typically delivers between 1,400-1,600 lumens at 3000K, though exact lumen output is not specified by Ideal Lux in the supplied documentation. This is sufficient for a bedroom, hallway or bathroom as ambient rather than task lighting.
How is the diffuser cleaned?
The satin opal polycarbonate diffuser can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth when the fitting is switched off and cool. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with plain water is acceptable. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents or polishes that may scratch or cloud the polycarbonate surface.
