Description

The Orbis is a 100mm round surface-mounted downlight with a white powder-coated aluminium body and a single GX53 bulb fitting. The cylindrical housing sits 40mm proud of the ceiling, directing light downwards through a recessed aperture. The turned aluminium construction provides thermal management for the LED while the powder-coated finish resists marking and discolouration over time.

Designed for surface mounting where recessed downlights are impractical — concrete ceilings, shallow voids, below-floor installations in flats and apartments — the Orbis provides focused task lighting over kitchen worktops, bathroom vanities, hallways and retail display areas. The white finish blends with light-coloured ceilings and the minimal 100mm diameter keeps the visual footprint small. The GX53 bulb format uses a twist-lock fitting that makes bulb replacement straightforward without tools.

The downlight is dimmable when paired with a compatible GX53 LED bulb and appropriate dimmer module, allowing light levels to be adjusted for different times of day or activity.
