Description

The Orbis is a 100mm diameter ceiling downlight with a cylindrical polished chrome body made from turned aluminium. The fitting takes a single GX53 bulb (sold separately) and sits flush or semi-recessed into the ceiling, depending on installation type. The chrome finish provides a reflective surface that catches and bounces ambient light around the room while directing task light downwards.

Designed for kitchens, bathrooms rated IP20 or above, hallways and commercial spaces, the Orbis works as accent lighting over worktops, in alcove displays, or as general downlighting in grid layouts across larger rooms. The GX53 bulb format is a low-profile disc-shaped fitting that allows the downlight to sit closer to the ceiling plane than standard GU10 or E27 fittings, making it useful in rooms with lower ceiling heights or shallow ceiling voids.

The turned aluminium construction keeps the fitting lightweight at under 200g while providing effective heat dissipation from the lamp. The polished chrome plating over the aluminium gives a high-gloss mirror finish that pairs with contemporary and modern interiors, particularly where chrome taps, handles or appliances are already present. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible GX53 LED bulb and dimmer switch.
