Description

The Omera is a 42W constant current LED driver designed for dimmable LED panel installations using 1-10V dimming control. It converts mains voltage to a regulated constant current output, eliminating flicker during dimming and maintaining stable light output across the dimming range. The driver measures 125mm x 83mm and is housed in a white plastic enclosure with ventilation ribs for passive heat dissipation.

Designed for both residential and commercial LED panel installations, the Omera integrates overheat and overload protection circuitry that cuts power if the driver exceeds safe operating temperature or if the connected load draws excessive current. The compact form factor allows installation inside ceiling voids behind recessed panels or within the mounting frames of surface-mounted panels, provided the void depth is at least 90mm to allow airflow around the casing.

The 1-10V dimming input accepts control signals from compatible dimmers and building management systems, allowing the driver to reduce output current in proportion to the control voltage. At 10V the driver outputs full current; at 1V it outputs minimum current (typically 10% of rated output). The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only. The plastic housing and terminals are rated for operation up to 45°C ambient temperature.

Frequently Asked

What dimming protocol does this driver support?

The Omera uses 1-10V dimming control. It requires a compatible 1-10V dimmer or building management system to adjust output. It is not compatible with mains phase-cut dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs.

Can it be installed in bathroom ceilings?

No. The IP20 rating means the driver offers no protection against moisture ingress and must only be used in dry indoor locations. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher rated drivers depending on zone.

What LED panels is it compatible with?

The Omera is compatible with any LED panel rated for constant current drive and requiring up to 42W input power. Check the panel specification to confirm it accepts constant current rather than constant voltage input, and that its wattage does not exceed 42W.

Where should it be positioned during installation?

Install the driver in a ceiling void or panel mounting frame with at least 90mm clearance around the casing to allow passive heat dissipation through the ventilation ribs. Do not cover the driver or install it in contact with thermal insulation.
