Description

The Omega is a 6-light twin bar spotlight from Ideal Lux, arranged across two parallel satin nickel bars extending 1065mm in total length. Each bar carries three individually adjustable GU10 spotlight heads that rotate 350° and tilt up to 90°, allowing light to be directed across different zones or focused onto specific surfaces. The central diamond-shaped wall plate mounts the bars at equal angles from the centre point, giving balanced weight distribution and a symmetrical profile.

Designed for kitchens, hallways, home offices and retail spaces where directional task lighting is needed across a long wall or ceiling run, the twin bar configuration provides coverage across 2-3 metres of worktop, gallery wall or corridor length. The adjustable heads mean the fixture can be configured as wash lighting (all heads angled upward onto a ceiling or wall), task lighting (heads angled downward onto worktops or desks), or accent lighting (individual heads picking out artwork, shelving or architectural features). The 220mm projection from the wall keeps the spotlight heads clear of upper cabinets in kitchens.

The satin nickel finish is a brushed metallic surface that softens reflections and pairs with both warm and cool-toned interiors, chrome fixtures and stainless steel appliances. Each GU10 socket accepts bulbs up to 50W (sold separately), with most installations using 4-7W LED GU10 bulbs in 3000K or 4000K depending on the room's primary function. The fixture is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only and carries dimmer compatibility when paired with dimmable GU10 bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer.

Yes, when paired with dimmable GU10 bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. The fixture itself supports dimming, but the bulbs and dimmer switch must also be rated for dimming. Non-dimmable GU10 bulbs will work at full brightness only.

Each of the six heads takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 50W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use 4-7W LED GU10 bulbs in either warm white (3000K) for residential spaces or neutral white (4000K) for task-focused areas like kitchens and offices.

Can it be ceiling-mounted or is it wall-only?

The Omega is designed for wall mounting via the central diamond plate. Ceiling mounting is not recommended due to the weight distribution across the twin bars and the outward projection of the spotlight heads.

What's the coverage area?

The 1065mm bar length and adjustable heads provide effective coverage across 2-3 metres of wall or worktop when heads are angled outward. For focused task lighting on a single surface, the fixture works best centred above a 1.5-2m kitchen island or desk.
