Description

The Omega is a 2-light bar spotlight with a 290mm satin nickel backplate and two conical lamp heads that rotate and tilt independently on inclination joints. Each head houses a GU10 downlight fitting (bulbs sold separately), allowing both spots to be angled towards different points in the same room or converged onto a single target area.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, hallways and bedrooms where directed light is needed without a central ceiling fitting, the Omega mounts horizontally on the wall with a 110mm projection from the mounting surface. The dual-head configuration works well above kitchen worktops to light meal prep zones, over desks for task lighting, or either side of a wardrobe to illuminate hanging areas. The satin nickel finish provides a low-sheen metallic surface that blends with both contemporary and industrial interiors without the high reflectivity of polished chrome.

Both lamp heads rotate through approximately 330 degrees horizontally and tilt through 90 degrees vertically, giving wide coverage from a compact 290mm footprint. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor areas. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable GU10 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. Ideal Lux manufactures the Omega in Italy and backs it with a 5-year warranty.

What bulbs does the Omega take?

The fitting takes two GU10 bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED GU10s at 2700K-3000K for task lighting in kitchens and offices. The fitting supports up to the maximum wattage shown on the internal label — check this before installing higher-wattage halogen bulbs.

Is the Omega dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable GU10 bulbs and connected to a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may flicker if used with a dimmer.

Can the lamp heads be angled independently?

Yes. Each head rotates and tilts on its own inclination joint, allowing one to be pointed at a worktop and the other at a wall, or both converged onto the same area for increased brightness.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating limits the Omega to dry indoor areas. It cannot be installed in bathroom zones where water spray or condensation is present. For bathrooms, use an IP44 or higher-rated fitting.
