Description

The Okno is a 175mm diameter recessed LED downlight with adjustable colour temperature switching between 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white and 6000K cool white, controlled via an existing wall switch. The integrated 24W LED driver and light source sit behind a white aluminium and plastic trim ring that mounts flush to the ceiling on spring clips, giving a clean finish with no visible fixings once installed.

Designed for ceiling installation in kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and commercial spaces where IP44 moisture protection is required, the Okno delivers 100-degree beam spread that provides general ambient light across typical 3-4m room widths. The colour temperature switching allows users to adapt the light from warm ambient (3000K) for evening use to cool task light (6000K) for daytime kitchens or workspace without rewiring or replacing the fitting. The 60mm ceiling void depth required accommodates most modern joist construction.

The white aluminium body and polycarbonate diffuser combine to give the fitting a 5-year manufacturer warranty and IP44 ingress protection against water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, above kitchen sinks and in utility rooms. The wide input voltage range (AC 165-265V) provides stable operation across grid variations, and the integrated driver removes the need for external control gear or transformer boxes in the ceiling void.

How do you switch between colour temperatures?

The Okno switches between 3000K, 4000K and 6000K using the existing wall switch. Turn the light off, then on again within 2 seconds to cycle through the three colour temperatures. The fitting remembers the last setting when power is restored after a longer interval.

What ceiling void depth is required?

A minimum 60mm ceiling void depth is needed to accommodate the driver and heat sink. The fitting mounts on spring clips that grip the ceiling material from above once the downlight is pushed up into the ceiling aperture.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

Yes. The IP44 rating makes the Okno suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the shower cubicle and bath area). It should not be installed directly above a shower head or bath (zone 1) unless the specific zone 1 variant is specified.

What size ceiling aperture does it need?

The 175mm diameter trim requires a ceiling cut-out of approximately 150-160mm. Check the installation manual linked in the Downloads tab for the exact aperture diameter before cutting the ceiling.
