Description

The Nyxara is a 310mm tall alabaster table lamp built around two stacked discs of natural Spanish alabaster, separated by a small gap and supported on a ribbed black metal column. A domed black finial caps the upper disc, and the whole composition sits on a flat circular black metal base 280mm in diameter. An integrated 3000K LED is concealed between the two alabaster layers, lighting the stone from within rather than from a visible bulb.

Designed as ambient bedside, console and side-table lighting, the Nyxara works on tables between 400mm and 700mm wide where its 280mm footprint reads as proportionate rather than dominant. The warm 3000K colour temperature and diffused output through alabaster suit bedrooms, reading nooks and living-room console arrangements where the lamp is on for long periods. Wired for 230V UK mains, the lamp is plug-in rather than hardwired.

Each alabaster disc is cut from natural stone and shows different veining, density variation and translucency depending on the section it was quarried from, so no two Nyxara lamps look identical when lit. The contrast between the soft white stone and the textured black ribbed column is a deliberate part of the design — the column's horizontal banding catches light differently from the smooth-edged discs above, giving the lamp visual interest even when switched off.

The integrated LED removes the need to choose, replace or hide a bulb, and keeps the silhouette uninterrupted. Light spreads through the edges of both alabaster discs and through the gap between them, producing a layered horizontal glow rather than a single point source.

Does the Nyxara use a replaceable bulb?

No. The light source is an integrated LED concealed between the two alabaster discs, rated at 3000K warm white on 230V mains. There is no bulb to replace, and the LED is not user-serviceable.

Is the lamp dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific in-line or plug-in dimmer used with integrated LED fittings. Please contact us before pairing the Nyxara with a dimmer to confirm compatibility.

Does each alabaster disc look the same?

No. Each disc is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural material rather than a defect, and is most visible when the lamp is lit.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid water, household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, as these can mark or stain the stone surface.
