The Novara is a compact alabaster globe pendant built around a 120mm sphere cut from natural Spanish alabaster, suspended on a slim black cable from a brushed brass ceiling fixing. A single G9 lamp sits inside the sphere, lighting the stone from within so the alabaster itself becomes the diffuser rather than a separate shade. The result is a soft, warm glow that picks out the mineral veining running through each globe.

The small 120mm diameter makes the Novara well suited to clustered installations over kitchen islands and dining tables, run in groups of three or five at staggered drops, or used singly over a bedside table, console or stairwell void. The G9 lamp holder accepts standard G9 capsule bulbs (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose warm-white output between 2700K and 3000K to suit the room. The brushed brass cable grip and ceiling fixing pair with most warm metal accents already in a room.

Each Novara globe is cut from a single block of Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal shifts and translucency vary between pieces. Some globes show denser caramel veining across one side; others present as more uniformly creamy with finer marbling. The brushed brass finish on the suspension hardware is low-sheen, softening reflections under daylight and complementing the natural warmth in the stone rather than competing with it.

What bulb does the Novara take?

The pendant takes a single G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED G9 between 2700K and 3000K at 3-4W to match the warmth of the alabaster. Avoid high-wattage halogen G9 bulbs, which run hot inside the enclosed sphere.

Can it be hung in a cluster?

Yes. The 120mm globe size and slim cable suspension are designed to work singly or in clusters of three, five or more at staggered drops. For kitchen island installations, mount from a multi-port ceiling rose or in-line over the worktop spacing each globe 250-400mm apart.

Will every Novara look the same?

No. Each globe is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between pieces. This is intrinsic to the natural stone — when ordering multiples for a cluster, expect variation between globes rather than identical matches.

How is the alabaster cared for?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Dust with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, then dry immediately. Do not use household sprays, polishes, vinegar or chemical cleaners, as these can stain or etch the stone.
