Description

The Nocturne input power cord is a 100cm white plastic cable designed to connect Ideal Lux Nocturne track lighting systems to mains power. The cable terminates at one end with a standard UK three-pin plug and at the other with a proprietary track connector that clips into the end of a Nocturne track section, delivering 230V power to the entire track run.

Designed for installation with Nocturne modular track systems in residential and commercial settings, the cable provides the reach needed to position track sections where ceiling roses or fixed power outlets are not immediately adjacent to the desired track location. The 100cm length allows track to be mounted up to 1m horizontally from the power source without needing an extension lead or additional wiring work.

The white plastic sheathing matches the finish of Nocturne track sections and conceals the internal conductors while providing flexibility for routing around corners or through ceiling voids during installation. The track-end connector locks into place with a quarter-turn mechanism, preventing accidental disconnection once fitted. The cable carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.

Frequently Asked

Is this cable compatible with all Ideal Lux track systems?

No. This cable is designed specifically for the Nocturne track system and uses a proprietary connector that fits only Nocturne track end-caps. It is not compatible with other Ideal Lux track ranges or universal track systems.

Can the cable be extended if 100cm is not enough reach?

The cable itself should not be extended or spliced as this would void the warranty and create safety risks. If additional reach is needed, position the track closer to the power source or use a standard UK extension lead between the wall socket and this power cord's plug.

Does the cable support dimming?

No. The Nocturne input power cord delivers un-dimmed 230V mains power to the track. Dimming capability depends on the individual track-mounted fittings and bulbs used, not the input cable.
