Description

The Noctis is a 1.8m LED floor lamp built around a vertical black powder-coated aluminium column rising from a 300mm circular base. The integrated 24W LED emits warm 3000K light through a linear diffuser running the full height of the column, creating a continuous line of illumination from floor to ceiling.

Designed for living rooms, reading corners and home offices where ambient uplighting is required without spreading into multiple bulbs or fittings, the Noctis directs light upwards to bounce off walls and ceilings, filling a room with indirect illumination. The floor dimmer on the cable allows brightness to be adjusted from full output down to a low glow suitable for evening use. The 300mm base footprint keeps the lamp stable on bare floors, rugs and carpet without needing wall-mounting or weighted support.

The black powder-coated aluminium finish resists scratches and fingerprints better than painted metal and maintains colour consistency across the column and base. The IP20 rating suits dry interior use in residential and commercial settings. The 2m cable reaches standard UK wall sockets without requiring an extension lead in most room layouts. The integrated LED is rated at 3000K, a warm white that sits between traditional tungsten tones and neutral daylight.

Yes. The Noctis includes a floor dimmer on the cable, allowing brightness to be adjusted from full output to a low glow. The dimmer is a rotary dial on the cable approximately 50cm from the plug.

What height ceiling is needed?

The lamp stands approximately 1.8m tall. It works in rooms with standard UK ceiling heights of 2.4m and above, leaving sufficient clearance between the top of the lamp and the ceiling for light to disperse upwards.

Can the LED be replaced?

The LED is integrated into the column structure. It is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of use, equivalent to around 10-12 years at typical domestic usage levels. The lamp carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.

What's the 3000K colour temperature like?

3000K is a warm white light tone, similar to halogen bulbs but slightly cooler than traditional tungsten. It provides a neutral warmth suitable for living rooms, bedrooms and offices without the strong yellow cast of 2700K or the clinical tone of 4000K+ daylight LEDs.
