Description
The Ninette is an 80cm six-light chandelier with three curved arms extending from a central antique brass column, each arm supporting two ivory-white fabric shades. The arms sweep outward in a symmetrical arrangement, creating a balanced span that suits rectangular dining tables and square living rooms. Each shade houses an E14 bulb (sold separately) and diffuses the light through the fabric, softening the output and reducing glare.
Designed for ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Ninette works over dining tables, in entrance halls and above seating areas where ambient and task lighting are both needed. The chain drop is adjustable between 540mm and 1500mm on installation, allowing the chandelier to be positioned 700-800mm above a table surface or higher in double-height spaces. The antique brass finish has a warm, slightly tarnished appearance that pairs with traditional oak, walnut and mahogany furniture as well as warmer-toned contemporary interiors.
The white fabric shades have a subtle wave detail along the lower edge, adding movement to the otherwise geometric structure. At 3.5kg, the chandelier requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or through a suitable support plate on plasterboard ceilings. The brass arms are fixed in position and do not articulate, so the light direction is determined by shade placement and bulb choice rather than by angling individual arms.

Frequently Asked
Is the Ninette dimmable?
Yes, provided dimmable E14 bulbs are used. The chandelier itself does not contain dimming electronics, so dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulb and dimmer model you pair it with.
What bulbs does it take?
The Ninette takes six E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W LED candle bulbs in 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light. The fabric shades diffuse the output, so higher-wattage bulbs are not typically needed.
What ceiling height is required?
The adjustable drop of 540mm to 1500mm allows the chandelier to be fitted in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. For dining table use, the chandelier typically sits 700-800mm above the table surface, which requires a ceiling height of at least 2.6m when set to minimum drop.
Can the shades be removed for cleaning?
Yes. The fabric shades fit onto the lamp holders with a friction or clip attachment and can be removed to wipe the fabric with a dry cloth or to replace bulbs.
