A single E27 bulb fitting sits inside the glass enclosure (bulb sold separately), protected by an IP44 rating that shields the bulb holder and internal wiring from rain and solid objects 1mm or larger.

Designed for exterior installation next to front doors, on porch walls, beside garage doors and along pathways where a traditional lantern aesthetic suits the building facade, the Newbury projects 122mm from the wall and casts light downward and to the sides through the clear glass. The half-lantern format sits flush against the wall with a rear mounting plate that connects to standard outdoor junction boxes. The 172mm width and 330mm height suit doorways and entrances with brick or render cladding where the black finish reads as a neutral against most exterior colours.

The cast aluminium body resists corrosion better than pressed steel and the textured black finish hides minor surface scratches that occur during maintenance or seasonal cleaning. The pyramidal roof section channels rainwater away from the glass joins and the bulb compartment below remains dry under the IP44 seal. The E27 fitting accepts LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W, allowing choice of light colour and brightness to match the entrance lighting scheme.

What does the IP44 rating mean?

What bulb does it take?

Can it be used on a rendered or brick wall?

Yes. The rear mounting plate fixes to standard outdoor junction boxes set into brick, render, stone or timber-clad walls. The 122mm projection allows clearance for most wall plugs and fixings.

Does the glass need cleaning?

Outdoor glass panels accumulate dust, pollen and water spots. Wipe the clear glass with a damp microfibre cloth every few months to maintain light output. The cast aluminium can be cleaned with soapy water and rinsed clear.
