Description

The Nepal is a 1050mm ceiling fan light with a white finish, combining an integrated 110W LED module with a DC motor fan system housed in a sculptural twist-propeller housing. The LED ring delivers 7200lm of tuneable white light (2700K to 5000K) with stepless dimming, while the DC motor provides quiet airflow with retractable blades that fold into the housing when the fan is switched off.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and open-plan spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Nepal addresses both lighting and climate control from a single ceiling point. The fan operates on six speeds controlled via the included IR remote, the app (iOS and Android), or voice commands through Alexa and Google Assistant. The retractable blade design means the fitting presents as a low-profile flush ceiling light when the fan is not running, avoiding the visual bulk of traditional fixed-blade fans.

The white powder-coated metal housing measures 245mm in projection from the ceiling, with the LED ring positioned around the perimeter of the 1050mm frame. The 110W power draw covers both the LED module and the fan motor, with the DC motor offering energy efficiency and reduced operating noise compared to AC motor equivalents. The 360° beam angle from the LED ring provides even ambient light distribution across the room, while the fan pushes air downward in summer mode or pulls it upward in winter mode via reversible motor direction.

The Nepal ships with a multi-function IR remote that controls on/off, fan speed (six steps), light dimming, colour temperature adjustment, timer functions and motor direction. the app replicates these controls on a smartphone and adds scheduling, scene creation and remote access when connected to a home Wi-Fi network. Voice control via Alexa or Google Assistant supports on/off, brightness adjustment, colour temperature and fan speed changes through spoken commands.

The Nepal can be controlled via the included IR remote, the smartphone app (requires Wi-Fi connection), or voice commands through Alexa or Google Assistant. All three methods allow adjustment of light brightness, colour temperature and fan speed.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 245mm projection from ceiling to the base of the fitting means a minimum ceiling height of 2.4m is recommended to maintain comfortable clearance in living spaces. The retractable blades add no extra clearance requirement when deployed.

How do the retractable blades work?

When the fan is switched off, the blades fold inward into the housing, presenting the Nepal as a low-profile flush ceiling light. When the fan motor is activated, centrifugal force extends the blades outward into operating position. This happens automatically based on motor status.
