Description

The Nelson is a 30cm linear wall light with a matt black aluminium body housing an integrated 16W LED strip that casts light both upwards and downwards. The LED offers switchable CCT (correlated colour temperature) via a wall switch cycle, allowing selection between 2700K extra warm white, 3000K warm white, and 4000K cool white without requiring a separate control unit.

Designed for hallways, staircases, bedrooms and offices where directional ambient light is needed without ceiling penetration, the Nelson mounts directly to the wall with a rear fixing plate and projects 46mm from the wall surface. The up/down light distribution creates wash effects on walls and ceilings, useful for adding depth to narrow corridors or highlighting architectural features. The 1080lm output at 16W provides sufficient ambient light for a 3-4m hallway section without needing additional fittings.

The matt black powder-coated aluminium finish resists fingerprints and pairs cleanly with industrial, contemporary and monochrome interiors. The compact 305mm width allows the Nelson to be installed individually as an accent or in a series along longer wall runs for continuous linear lighting. At 0.80kg the fitting can be mounted on standard stud or masonry walls without additional reinforcement. The LED is non-dimmable and operates on 200-240V mains voltage.

How do you switch between the different colour temperatures?

The CCT function cycles through 2700K, 3000K and 4000K each time the wall switch is turned off and back on. There is no separate remote or control unit — the switching happens via the mains power cycle.

Is the Nelson dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. Installing this fitting on a dimmer circuit may damage the driver or cause flickering.

What wall types can it be mounted on?

The 0.80kg weight allows mounting on standard plasterboard stud walls, masonry and timber. The rear fixing plate has two keyhole mounting points. For plasterboard ensure fixings are positioned on studs or use cavity wall anchors rated for the weight.

Can multiple Nelson lights be installed in a row?

Yes. The 305mm width allows the fittings to be spaced evenly along hallways or staircases for continuous linear lighting. Each fitting requires its own mains connection — they cannot be daisy-chained on a single cable run.
