Nebula LED Pendant Light 20cm - Black with Smoky Glass Sphere

The Nebula is a 20cm pendant light built around a hand-blown smoky black glass sphere suspended from a cylindrical black metal canopy and fitting. An integrated 4W LED at the top of the sphere casts warm 3000K light downward through the glass, creating a soft gradient from the light source at the crown to the darker lower hemisphere. The sphere appears to float on the cable, with the narrow black metal connector minimising visual interruption.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, hallways and bedroom bedside positions, the Nebula works as a single pendant or in clustered groups where multiple drops create layered focal points. The 3m cable allows the drop to be adjusted between 60cm and 350cm during installation, making it adaptable to both standard 2.4m ceilings and double-height entrance halls. At 60cm minimum drop the sphere sits close enough for use over a worktop or bedside table; at 350cm it suits tall stairwells or void spaces.

The blown glass sphere shows slight tonal variation and surface texture from the hand-blowing process, with the smoky finish ranging from near-black at the thickest sections to a lighter charcoal where the glass is thinnest. The black powder-coated metal fitting and canopy give a matt finish that absorbs rather than reflects surrounding light, allowing the glass sphere to remain the visual focus. At 20cm diameter and 4W output the Nebula provides accent and task lighting rather than full room illumination, so pairs well with recessed downlights or other ambient sources in larger spaces.

Is the Nebula dimmable?

The integrated 4W LED operates on 220-240V AC. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model, as not all LED drivers work with all dimmer switches. Contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm compatibility.

Can the cable length be adjusted after installation?

The cable length is set during installation by trimming excess and feeding through the canopy. Once installed and the canopy is fixed to the ceiling rose, adjusting the drop requires removing the canopy and re-feeding the cable, so it's best to settle on the final drop height before completing installation.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 60cm means the pendant works in rooms with standard 2.4m ceilings when hung over a table or island where headroom beneath is not an issue. For open floor areas or walkways, allow at least 2.1m clearance beneath the sphere to avoid head strikes.

Is the glass sphere replaceable if damaged?

The glass sphere is a sealed component of the pendant and is not sold separately by Maytoni. If the glass is damaged the entire pendant typically needs replacing, so handle with care during installation and cleaning.
