Description

The Morne is a 750mm linear LED bathroom mirror light with an integrated 20W 4000K cool white LED delivering 1800 lumens behind a white polycarbonate diffuser. The rectangular profile measures 140mm in height with a 60mm projection from the wall, and the 120° beam angle casts even light across a mirror surface without creating shadows at the edges or across the face.

Designed for installation above bathroom mirrors and vanity units, the Morne suits bathrooms with mirror widths of 600-900mm where the light can be centred or offset depending on the mirror frame and available wall space. The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, meaning it can be mounted outside the immediate shower or bath enclosure but within the general bathroom environment where moisture and occasional splashes occur. The white metal housing pairs with white-tiled bathrooms, light-toned vanities and neutral wall colours without creating visual contrast.

The integrated LED is non-replaceable and rated at 4000K, which sits in the cool white range and provides the colour rendering needed for makeup application, shaving and other grooming tasks where accurate colour perception matters. At 1800 lumens the output is significantly brighter than typical decorative bathroom lighting, making this a functional task light rather than ambient mood lighting. Can this be used in a shower room?

The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, meaning outside the immediate shower enclosure but within the general bathroom where moisture and splashes occur. It should not be mounted inside a shower cubicle or directly above a bath where it would be in zone 1 or 0.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and non-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation, which equates to around 10-15 years of typical domestic bathroom use before the light output begins to degrade noticeably.

What size mirror does it suit?

The 750mm length works best with mirrors between 600-900mm wide. The light can be centred above the mirror or offset to one side depending on the mirror frame and available wall space. For larger mirrors above 1000mm, two Morne fittings can be spaced evenly across the width.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver is non-dimmable and runs at full 1800lm output when switched on. If adjustable lighting is needed, pair the Morne with separate ambient lighting on a dimmer circuit.
