The Quoizel Mixon is a semi-flush ceiling light built around an open wire cage in polished chrome, suspending a single E27 bulb fitting inside a multi-tier guard frame. The cage sits on a short 271mm drop from a circular ceiling plate, positioning the light 135mm from the ceiling surface when fitted — close enough for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m while keeping the bulb visible and unobstructed.

Designed for kitchens, utility rooms, hallways and workspaces where industrial styling pairs with practical task lighting, the Mixon provides direct downlight through the open cage without any diffusion. The polished chrome finish reflects both natural daylight and the bulb's output, amplifying brightness in smaller rooms or darker corridors. The Mixon takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with either a vintage-style filament bulb at 40W equivalent or a compact LED bulb at 6-10W for efficient task lighting.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 135mm projection from ceiling to bottom of the cage suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2m or above, making it a practical choice for flats, galley kitchens and utility rooms where a standard pendant would hang too low.

Can the cage be removed for bulb changes?

The cage is fixed to the ceiling plate assembly. Bulb changes are made by unscrewing the old bulb from below and inserting the new one up through the open bottom of the cage — no tools required.
