Description

The Minster is a single-arm wall light finished in ivory with gold patina accents, built around a curved metal arm that extends from an oval backplate to a candle-style holder with a shallow drip tray beneath the bulb. The fitting takes a single E14 candle bulb (sold separately) up to 60W and projects 175mm from the wall.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and staircases where traditional wall lighting suits the interior, the Minster provides localised accent light rather than primary illumination. The 190mm height and compact 85mm width allow the fitting to be installed in pairs flanking a mirror, artwork or doorway without dominating the wall space. The curved arm and loop detail below the candle holder reference Georgian and Regency candlestick forms.

The ivory finish carries a subtle texture that softens the metal surface, while the gold patina highlights the raised details on the backplate, arm and candle holder. This two-tone treatment gives the fitting depth under both natural and artificial light, preventing it from appearing flat against a pale wall. The backplate conceals standard UK wall box fittings and the arm is fixed rather than adjustable, so the light direction is set on installation.

What bulb does it take?

The Minster takes a single E14 small Edison screw candle bulb up to 60W. Most users pair this with a 4-6W LED candle bulb in warm white (2700K) to replicate the appearance of a traditional candle flame. Clear or frosted candle bulbs both work depending on the visual effect preferred.

Can it be installed in a bathroom?

The Minster carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor use only. It is not suitable for bathrooms or other moisture-prone areas unless installed well away from direct water exposure and outside regulated zones.

How far does it project from the wall?

The fitting projects 175mm from the wall when installed, measured from the backplate to the front of the candle holder. Allow clearance where the wall light is installed near doorways or circulation routes.

Is the gold patina applied as a separate layer?

The gold patina is applied to highlight the raised details on the backplate, arm and candle holder, creating a two-tone effect against the ivory base finish. This is a factory finish and not a user-adjustable element.
