Description
The Melbourne is a 350mm square flush ceiling light with a frosted glass diffuser set in a polished chrome frame, housing an integrated 15W LED that delivers 1350 lumens of warm white 3000K light. The 55mm overall depth makes it a low-ceiling-compatible fitting that projects less than 60mm from the ceiling surface once installed.
Designed for hallways, bedrooms, kitchens and living rooms where ceiling heights of 2.2-2.5m limit deeper fittings, the Melbourne provides ambient lighting across a typical 3m x 3m to 4m x 4m floor area. The frosted glass spreads the LED evenly, avoiding visible hotspots or hard shadows, and the square format aligns cleanly with ceiling grids, architraves and modern interior geometry.
The polished chrome frame gives a reflective metallic accent that pairs with chrome taps, door handles and kitchen fixtures in contemporary and transitional interiors. The frosted glass is a single pane held by a metal surround, with the LED module fitted to the rear of the glass inside the housing. The glass surface can be wiped clean with a dry microfibre cloth. The frosted finish hides fingerprints better than clear glass.
The fitting weighs 2kg, requiring secure fixing to a standard ceiling rose or junction box rated for the load. The non-dimmable LED operates on 220-240V mains and carries a 3-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
Is the Melbourne suitable for low ceilings?
Yes. The 55mm overall depth means the fitting projects less than 60mm from the ceiling surface once installed, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2m or above where deeper pendant lights would feel oppressive.
What room size does the 1350 lumens cover?
A single Melbourne fitting provides ambient lighting for a typical 3m x 3m to 4m x 4m room, depending on ceiling height and wall colour. Larger rooms or spaces requiring higher light levels may benefit from multiple fittings.
Is it dimmable?
No. The integrated LED operates at fixed output on 220-240V mains. It cannot be paired with dimmer switches.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
The specification table does not list an IP rating. Without an IP44 or higher rating, the Melbourne should not be installed in bathroom zones where moisture or direct water spray is present. Contact us to confirm suitability for your specific installation.
