Description

The Meca is a 1600mm linear suspension light built around a single integrated LED strip housed within a 28mm-diameter matt black tube. The fitting delivers 2850 lumens at 3000K from a 35W LED module, distributed through a 36-degree beam angle along the length of the bar. Two cables suspend the bar from a rectangular black ceiling plate, with drop adjustable between 60mm minimum and 2060mm maximum.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and workspace desks where directed downlight is needed across a long surface, the Meca works in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.5m. The narrow beam angle concentrates light onto the surface below rather than spreading it as ambient fill, making the fitting suitable for task-focused applications. At 1600mm length the bar covers a standard 4-6 seater dining table or a 1200-1400mm kitchen island run.

The matt black powder-coated aluminium tube absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping the fitting visually recessive in the space when lit. The 28mm diameter gives the bar a slender profile that reads as a horizontal line from most viewing angles. The integrated LED cannot be replaced but carries a 3-year warranty and is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation at full output.

The Meca is not dimmable and operates on standard 220-240V mains via a built-in driver concealed in the ceiling plate. The 1.5kg weight is distributed across the two suspension cables and does not require additional ceiling reinforcement on standard plasterboard or solid ceilings.
