The Mars Large is a 220mm diameter table lamp pairing a spherical shade of acid-etched white blown glass with a conical polished chrome base. A single E27 bulb fitting inside the glass sphere (bulb sold separately) casts light through the acid-etched surface, diffusing it evenly without glare or hard shadows.

Designed for side tables, consoles and bedroom nightstands where soft ambient light is needed, the Mars Large sits at a height suitable for reading without directing light into the eyes. The 220mm sphere provides enough presence to hold a generous tabletop or console surface without overwhelming smaller side tables. The chrome base weighs the lamp and gives a reflective accent that pairs with contemporary, mid-century and minimalist interiors.

The acid-etched finish on the blown glass creates a translucent surface that softens the bulb filament or LED element when lit, turning the entire sphere into a diffuser rather than showing a point source. How is the glass cleaned?

The acid-etched glass can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works well. Avoid spraying household cleaners directly onto the glass as residue can settle into the etched surface.
