Description

The Marquette is a 9-light chandelier built around heirloom bronze scrollwork with antique gold accent detailing and multi-faceted cut crystal drops. Nine candle-style arms extend from a two-tier frame, each housing an E14 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately). The scrollwork wraps around a central bronze column and terminates in a decorative finial at the base, with further crystal drops cascading from the frame.

Designed for high-ceiling installations in dining rooms, entrance halls and formal living rooms, the Marquette has a 813mm diameter and requires a ceiling height of at least 2.7m to accommodate the minimum 1131mm drop. The chandelier ships with a 2438mm adjustable chain allowing drops up to 3569mm, so the fitting can be set higher in double-height spaces or grand foyers. The nine E14 candle bulbs provide ambient and decorative light when fitted with warm-white LEDs or filament-effect bulbs.

The heirloom bronze finish is a dark oxidised bronze base with hand-applied antique gold highlights on raised details, giving depth to the scrollwork and contrasting with the faceted crystal drops. The crystals are cut glass rather than acrylic, so they refract light into prismatic colour when the chandelier is lit. The chandelier takes nine E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, each up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs at 4-6W and 2700K for a traditional glow, or filament-effect bulbs for period authenticity.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 1131mm means the chandelier requires a ceiling height of at least 2.7m to hang safely above head height in a dining room or hallway. The 2438mm adjustable chain allows installation in double-height entrance halls and grand foyers up to 5-6m ceiling height.

Are the crystals glass or acrylic?

The crystal drops are cut glass. They refract light into prismatic colour when the chandelier is lit, unlike acrylic drops which simply reflect. Each drop is faceted on multiple faces to maximise light dispersion.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The chain length is set during installation by cutting or coiling excess chain inside the ceiling rose. Once installed, the drop cannot be adjusted without re-accessing the ceiling fixings and re-threading the chain.
