Description
The Marlowe is a five light semi-flush ceiling light, built from metal and finished in either black or satin brass, sitting close to the ceiling rather than dropping down on a long pendant. It measures 53cm across with a 30.5cm projection, so it makes a real impact overhead while still suiting a standard ceiling height. Each of the five lights takes an E27 lamp rated up to 40W, for a generous total output of up to 200W across the whole fitting.
With five lights spread across 53cm, the Marlowe suits larger rooms where you want a wide, even spread of light rather than one central glow, think living rooms, dining rooms, and bigger hallways or landings with standard ceiling heights. It gives a strong ambient light that works well as the main source in a room rather than as an accent, and its clean lines suit a modern or minimalist interior looking for something with a bit more scale than a simple flush fitting.
We finish the Marlowe in black for a bold, modern look, or satin brass for something warmer, and either pairs easily with modern furniture elsewhere in the room. Wipe it over with a dry, soft cloth, and keep abrasive cleaners away from the finish. It is fully dimmable with compatible dimmable lamps and a suitable dimmer, so you can bring the light down from a bright, everyday level to something more relaxed, and a warm white LED E27 lamp is a good choice for a softer, more efficient light. It sits within our wider Marlowe range, so you can carry the same look through other rooms.

Frequently Asked
What size room does the Marlowe suit?
At 53cm across with five lights, the Marlowe is built for larger rooms, think living rooms, dining rooms, or a bigger hallway or landing, where a small pendant would look lost and you want a wide, even spread of light.
What is the difference between the black and satin brass finishes?
Both are the same fitting in metal, the difference is in the finish alone: black gives a bold, modern look, while satin brass brings a warmer tone that suits wood and more traditional settings.
What bulbs does it take, and are they included?
Each of the five lights takes an E27 lamp, rated up to 40W per lamp. Lamps are not included, so fit your own, and a warm white LED E27 is a good way to bring the running cost down.
Is the Marlowe dimmable?
Yes, it is fully dimmable when fitted with dimmable lamps and used with a suitable dimmer switch, so you can bring the light down from a bright, everyday level to something softer in the evening.
How do I clean and care for it?
Wipe it over with a dry, soft cloth to keep it looking its best, and avoid abrasive cleaners or anything wet, which could mark or dull the finish.
