Description
The Mara is a 460mm table lamp built around a curved antique brass frame that sweeps up from a circular base, passes through a horizontal cross-bar, and supports an ivory white fabric shade above. A single faceted crystal droplet hangs from the cross-bar, catching light from the E14 bulb inside the shade. The antique brass finish shows tonal variation across the metal surface, giving the frame a warmer, aged appearance compared to polished brass.
Designed for side tables, console tables and bedside use in living rooms, hallways and bedrooms, the Mara provides ambient task light filtered through the pleated ivory fabric shade. The 270mm diameter shade sits at approximately 350mm from the base, placing the light source at a comfortable reading height when positioned next to an armchair or at the side of a bed. The curved brass arm and crystal droplet give the lamp a decorative presence when switched off, functioning as a sculptural accent in traditional, transitional and classical interiors.
The lamp accepts a single E14 small Edison screw bulb (sold separately) and is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulb. The antique brass finish pairs with warm-toned interiors, darker wood furniture and gilt picture frames, while the ivory shade softens the light output and reduces glare. The 2.7kg weight provides stability on most surfaces without needing additional ballast, and the circular base footprint of approximately 120mm keeps the lamp compact on narrow console tables.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Mara take?
The lamp uses a single E14 small Edison screw bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W LED in warm white (2700K-3000K) to match the antique brass and ivory shade tones.
Is the lamp dimmable?
Yes, when paired with a dimmable E14 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The lamp itself does not include dimming electronics, so both the bulb and wall dimmer must support dimming.
What is the shade made from?
The shade is pleated ivory white fabric stretched over a metal frame. The pleating diffuses light evenly and reduces hot spots from the bulb inside.
How is the antique brass finish maintained?
Antique brass develops tonal variation over time as part of its character. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust. Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes, which can remove the antiqued patina and expose brighter brass underneath.
