Description

The Mara is a 4-light chandelier with a two-arm antique brass frame supporting four ivory white pleated fabric shades, each housing an E14 bulb (sold separately). The frame curves in opposing arcs from a central stem, with four crystal droplet accents suspended below the arms. The antique brass finish carries a darker, warmer patina than polished brass, giving the metalwork a heritage tone that suits traditional and transitional interiors.

Designed for dining tables and living room seating areas, the 1150mm horizontal span suits tables in the 1.6-2.2m range or open-plan zones where the chandelier defines a specific seating group. The 650mm minimum drop allows installation in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upward, while the maximum 2500mm drop accommodates double-height spaces and stairwells. The chain conceals the cable and is adjustable on installation to set the chandelier at the required height above the surface.

Each white shade is pleated fabric stretched over a wire frame, diffusing light from the E14 bulb inside while maintaining a crisp edge. The shades soften the direct light source and direct illumination both downward onto the table and upward onto the ceiling. The four crystal droplets catch and refract light when the chandelier is lit, adding subtle sparkle without the density of a full crystal chandelier. The antique brass, white shades and restrained crystal detailing combine to give the Mara a quieter, less formal presence than polished chrome or heavier crystal alternatives.

What bulbs does it take?

The Mara uses four E14 small Edison screw bulbs (sold separately). Warm-white LED bulbs at 2700K-3000K and 4-6W per bulb provide sufficient ambient light for dining and living room use.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. The chandelier itself does not contain dimming electronics. Dimming is controlled by the bulb and wall switch combination.

Can the shades be cleaned?

The pleated fabric shades attract dust over time. Use a dry microfibre cloth or soft brush to remove surface dust. Avoid water or liquid cleaners, as fabric shades can stain or shrink when wet.
