Description

The Lyris is a 3m trimless LED profile cover made from extruded aluminium with an anodised and powder-coated white finish. The profile mounts flush into plasterboard or render, creating a recessed channel for LED strip tape with no visible lip or edge projecting from the wall or ceiling once installed. The 35mm projection depth houses the LED strip and allows space for wiring and driver connections.

Designed for architectural linear lighting in residential and commercial interiors, the Lyris suits continuous light runs along walls, ceilings, coves, shelving, staircases and kitchen plinths. The 3m length reduces the number of joins needed in longer installations compared to standard 2m profiles, creating cleaner uninterrupted lines of light. The trimless design works particularly well in minimalist interiors where visible light fittings would disrupt clean surfaces.

The profile requires installation into a prepared recess — the aluminium channel is fixed into the gap, then the surrounding plaster or render is finished flush to the edge of the profile, burying the housing completely. Once painted or finished, only the light-emitting surface remains visible. The white powder coat provides a neutral backdrop that reflects and diffuses the LED output evenly along the length of the strip. LED strip tape and drivers are sold separately and must be matched to the profile dimensions and intended light output.

Does this include the LED strip?

No. The Lyris is the aluminium profile housing only. LED strip tape, diffuser lenses and drivers are sold separately and must be chosen to match the profile width and your required light output.

How is it installed?

The profile is recessed into a prepared channel cut into plasterboard, render or other wall/ceiling material. The aluminium housing is fixed into the recess, then the surrounding surface is finished flush to the edge of the profile. Once plastered and painted, only the LED channel remains visible.

Can multiple profiles be joined end-to-end?

Yes. For runs longer than 3m, profiles can be butted together end-to-end. The join will be visible as a hairline gap unless mitred or covered with a joining accessory designed for this profile system.

What width LED strip does it take?

The internal channel width depends on the specific Lyris profile variant. Check the Specification tab for exact internal dimensions, and match your LED strip width to fit within that channel with clearance for wiring.
