Description

The Lyris is a 45mm steel trim bracket designed to secure and finish LED strip installations where the strip profile meets a perpendicular surface or terminates against a wall. The bracket features two countersunk screw holes and a 20mm projection, allowing it to bridge the gap between an LED strip channel and the mounting surface while providing a clean finished edge.

Used primarily in kitchen under-cabinet lighting, shelf edge lighting, and recessed coving installations, the bracket holds the end of an LED strip profile in position and prevents the cut edge of the strip or channel from being visible. The 45mm length suits most standard LED strip profiles between 8-12mm wide, and the steel construction provides rigidity that plastic end caps cannot match when the installation is subject to movement or cleaning.

The steel is supplied in a satin finish that accepts most paint finishes if colour-matching to surrounding surfaces is needed. The two screw holes are countersunk to 3mm diameter, compatible with standard self-tapping screws for timber, plasterboard or metal stud installations. The 20mm projection allows the bracket to span typical gaps between LED channel and wall, while keeping the fixing discrete.

Frequently Asked

What LED strip profiles is it compatible with?

The 45mm length and 20mm projection suit most LED strip profiles between 8-12mm wide. Check the profile width before ordering to confirm fit. The bracket is designed to bridge the gap between the profile edge and the mounting surface rather than to grip the profile itself.

What screws are needed?

The two countersunk holes accept 3mm diameter self-tapping screws. Screw length depends on your mounting surface — typically 12-16mm for plasterboard, 10-12mm for timber, 8-10mm for metal stud.

Can it be painted?

Yes. The satin steel finish accepts most paint finishes if you need to colour-match the bracket to the surrounding surface. Degrease the steel with isopropyl alcohol before priming.
