Description

The Lyris is a 5-metre steel suspension wire designed for pendant lighting installations, supplied with mounting attachments for ceiling and fitting connection. The 15mm diameter steel cable provides structural support for pendant lights in high-ceiling spaces or where extended drop lengths are needed beyond the standard flex supplied with most fittings.

Designed for residential dining rooms, commercial hospitality spaces, stairwells and double-height entrance halls where ceiling heights exceed 3 metres, the wire allows pendant lights to be suspended at the correct height above tables, worktops or seating areas without the visual clutter of looped excess cable. The mounting attachments fix to a standard ceiling rose at the top and clamp to the pendant fitting at the bottom, with the electrical flex running alongside or through the wire depending on fitting design.

The steel construction handles the load of heavier pendant fittings including multi-arm chandeliers, large drum shades and oversized glass or metal pendants that might otherwise stress standard pendant flex. The 5-metre length can be cut to the required drop on installation, with the surplus removed rather than coiled. The wire finish is a satin steel that pairs with brushed metal, chrome and industrial-style fittings.
