Description

The Luxtra is a 74cm diameter outdoor floor lamp built from a powder-coated brown metal cage with an integrated 18W LED module inside an opal plastic diffuser. The cage structure forms a flattened spherical shape with curved vertical ribs running from the solid top plate to the solid base plate, creating a lantern-like silhouette that sits directly on the ground. The LED casts warm 3000K light downwards through the base, illuminating the ground around the lamp while the cage structure creates shadow patterns.

Designed for gardens, patios, terraces and poolside areas, the Luxtra works as both functional lighting and sculptural accent. The IP44 rating protects the fitting against rain splash from any direction, making it suitable for uncovered outdoor locations. The 2.5m black neoprene cable ends in a standard UK plug, allowing the lamp to be positioned away from the power source and moved between locations without permanent wiring. The 74cm diameter gives the lamp a substantial ground presence that holds attention in larger outdoor spaces.

The brown powder-coat finish has a matt texture that resists rust and weathers quietly alongside timber decking, terracotta paving and natural stone. The curved metal ribs are spaced approximately 50mm apart, wide enough to allow the light pattern to spread across adjacent planting or hardscaping while maintaining the cage's structural integrity. The integrated LED removes the need for bulb replacement, and the 18W output balances ambient illumination with energy efficiency across extended evening use.

The solid top and base plates keep rain off the internal LED module and provide stability on uneven ground. The lamp can be positioned as a single accent at the end of a pathway, grouped in clusters of two or three around seating areas, or spaced along garden borders to mark boundaries.
